Weekly plugin: Check of Requests per Second of an Apache Server
Written by Administrator
...Or of the last week. Relly we release this plugin the last week but the binnacle has been played hard to get.
Introducing a new plugin, check_apache_requests, for monitoring Apache Servers. This time, the aim is to check the number of Requests per Second handled by an Apache Server.
Plugin allows us to check the Apache server state, based on the number of requests per second, and can obtain any of the following states:
- Normal: The value is healthy or in the operational value range of requests per second valids.
- Warning: The number of requests per seconds handled by the Apache process is out of range but still not reaching critical values.
- Critical: The requests per second have exceeded critical values.
- Unknown: If the query to the Apache server has gone wrongor failed to retrieve the number of requests per second.
It also allows us to get performance data based on return values by checks.
